A girl walked through the door to her home, just back from school.
She set her bag down on the couch near the door and took off her shoes.
"Roxy! Bear!" she called out into the empty house. One dog, a golden blonde color, came running down the stairs to greet the girl happily. His curly fur patted down, the girl figured he had been sleeping.
"Roxy!" she called again into the house. When she recieved no reaction she began to worry. Then the memories of the past three weeks caught up to her. "No..." the girl fell to her knees. "She isn't here... she's gone..." her head fell into her hands and she wept silently...

Description:
I wrote this because a few weeks ago my dog was having breathing problems, and we weren't sure if she'd make it through the night.
(I apologize if it is in the wrong arena.)
It is an edited form, but was based on my fear of losing her. - Date: 03/24/2009
