The Last Stand
A proud warrior stood facing the dawn, he knew the battle would come soon. The supplies had been delivered and rationed each according to his own in preparation for the conflict ahead. All the warrior could do now was wait. He felt the cool morning breeze against his face and gazed longingly at the sunrise, he knew it may be his last.
Suddenly, the warrior saw a figure appear over the horizon.
"Help, Please let me in!" the person cried, "My family needs food and supplies." The warrior hurried to the gate, it was almost time for the enemy to arrive. "Get in, quickly," the warrior barked, "The enemy is upon us."
"Thank-you sir," said the traveler as he grabbed a few items, "but, what enemy do you face?"
"It is an enemy as old as time itself," the warrior began, " They group together and form a massive army to collectively feed on the souls of the living." The warrior led the man over to the storehouse. "This is what they seek," he said, pointing to several large boxes, "They will not stop until they get these, they have already destroyed many kingdoms in their search." The warrior paused, "Many of my friends were in those other kingdoms, they gave their lives trying to protect boxes like these, but sadly...they were consumed."
The traveler seemed confused. "Brave warrior," he asked, "what is in these boxes that so many have fought and died over?"
"Come, I will show you." The warrior opened one of the boxes and the traveler's face lit with amazement. Inside were hundreds of small plastic cases with a picture of a boy and a girl on the front of them.
Just as the traveler was about to touch one of the cases, a terrible screech rang throughout the stronghold. A screech that sounded like a million banshees in perfect harmony.
"No," cried the warrior, "They are here. Quick, get away, tell our story, tell them how never in the history of mankind have so few stood against so many for such a cause."
"Yes, warrior," said the traveler as he turned to run, "but, who are you fighting?"
The warrior, donned in his blue armor with a white identification medallion turned to the traveler, "We fight...THE FANGIRLS! NOW GO!" The traveler left the stronghold of Wal-mart not knowing that that day, it would be leveled by the fangirls.
