• Ashley was an outcast at her school when she noticed the beautiful Max. She finally got the courage to talk to him. Over the summer he found out she liked him and so she felt so embarrassed she stopped talking to him and cut her hair very short to forget about him. When school started she saw Max and remembered her feelings for him and they came back. She tried to act cool and calm when she was near him but in truth she loved him so much and felt she might die if she didn’t tell him she loved him. The first time she went over to his house they went to a park. Under the big tree he asked her, “Do you still like me?”
Ashley hesitated and took a chance, “Yes, I do. I still like you, a lot.”
    Max didn’t say anything. “…. I like you too…”

They dated for two months when Ashley said, “We need to break up… I’m afraid that.. I’ll love you more and more. I’m afraid of what’s going to happen.. I’m sorry..”
Max was depressed but he didn’t show it. He still smiled and laughed. They were still great friends; it felt like they didn’t even break up.
A few weeks later they had a hug fight. They stopped talking to eachother. Ashley wanted to make up but she was afraid he wouldn’t say anything to her.
Max wanted to talk to her but he was afraid. After that he suddenly got a new girlfriend. They completely stopped talking. Ashley was heartbroken. They vowed they would love eachother forever. They promised to never love anyone but eachother but he fell for another girl.
Ashley was so sad but she didn’t show it. She was so heartbroken she would cry everytime she thought about him. She tried to talk to him but everytime she tried he would ignore her.
She knew that he hated her and didn’t love her anymore.

Ashley smiled a broken smile and tears streaming down her face. “Okay… So my father is dying and you don’t even care.. I need you right now but you’re not here…” She whispered. “You said you’d always be here, so where are you now for me? When I need you to hold me, love me?”
She couldn’t take the pain anymore. The heartbroken tears. The pain. It was all too much for her.

So she grabbed all the medicine she could find and drank it all. When her vision blurred all she said was, “I love you Max.. But you’ll never know…”
