• Pain surged through the back of Marluxia's skull as he slowly drifted out of unconciousness. He groaned, attempting to sit up. There was that flash of pain. And something else.
His hands were tied behind his back.
The man's eyes flew open, seeing nothing. For a moment he thought he'd gone blind, but he realized there was some sort of black cloth tied around his face. A blindfold.
He was kneeling on a hard, presumably marble floor. He was somewhere in the castle. Must be one of Axel's stupid tricks. Marluxia called out, waiting for an answer. Someone stirred a few feet away, unfolding themselves from a chair and standing up. He strained to hear the soft, delicate words.
"Hello, Marlu." Relief flooded through his veins.
"Oh, christ, Namine! Thank god you're here!" He strained frantically, trying to see over an edge of the blindfold, "Please, baby, could you...?" She said nothing, and that scared him. Her footsteps, suprisingly light and quiet even for a bird-boned girl like her, began slowly padding towards him.
    "Marlu, do you - "
He let out a low, terrified keen. This wasn't right.
    " - know what happens - "
Her voice was deadly, fueled by the bitterness of a woman scorned.
" - to those who lie?"
Marluxia was, for the first time in his life, entirely terrified. He known her since before she'd joined the Organization. She'd been a cute kid, a little maid for the group. At seventeen, she'd been permitted to join. At that time, she'd still been a child.
Marluxia watched her grown up. In the six years that she'd worked with him, he'd seen her grow from a scared little girl, afraid to even kill the mice that ran around the dungeons, to a cold, hard proffesional. Like Larxene, she seemed naturally adept for killing. He'd watch her snap more necks than he could count. And as he watched her, he reminded himself to never, ever, get on her bad side.
    ...Oops.
"Namine, baby..," He whispered, his throat dry.
"Shut up." Namine's answer was sealed with a kiss.
    Cold metal.
He should've known better. Larxene and Axel had told him, time and time again, do-not-get-involved-with-that-girl. Of course he didn't listen. He lived for danger. And Namine was the biggest danger fix he could find. So a few passionate nights were shared. And she asked him if he loved her, and, because it just made things more deliciously wicked, he'd said yes. Stupid.
And, what made it worse, she'd believed him. For three years, they were together. To Namine, they had been dating. To Marluxia, they'd just been screwing. No strings attatched. So a once-in-awhile evening with another girl wasn't wrong. Right?
    Wrong.
Namine shoved the barrel of the gun into his mouth, pressing it into the back of his throat so hard that he gagged.
"I asked you a question." Her voice was cold, "Do you know what happens?!" He whimpered, his teeth clicking around the gun. "What's that?" She asked sweetly, "...You're mumbling, sweetie." She removed the gun from his mouth.
"Baby, I'm sorry, I...I was just...it was an accident, I was drunk..." A stinging slap was drawn across his face.
"Don't lie to me!" Namine hissed, her voice low, "Larxene and I are best friends. You think she wouldn't tell me what you did?!" He whimpered again as she pressed the gun to his temple. "...The little white lies start to add up after awhile, Marlu. Do you think I'm an idiot?" He cried out a terrified plea, cringing away from the gun. She twisted her fingers into his bubblegum-pink hair and pulled, earning a yelp from the man.
"Please, Namine, don't do this...I promise, I never meant to hurt you..." Another stinging slap, followed by a few broken strands of curse words from the girl. "Please don't kill me, baby! I don't want to die!" A few tears darkened the cloth obscuring his eyes. Namine snarled.
"You told me you loved me. And I honest-to-god believed you."
"I do love you, baby!" Marluxia's voice was desperate. Namine went silent.
For a moment, he almost believed that she wouldn't kill him. Almost.
    Then she pulled the trigger.
