- Summer in the country was very beautiful and peaceful; children ran around outside yelling and laughing, shepherds watched their flocks grazing and villagers either relaxed on their front porches or worked in the fields. flowers bloomed everywhere and the song of birds filled the air and the gurgling of a river gave the countryside a very peaceful feeling. Kamatchi despised it all; he would much rather hear the sounds of swords clashing and the smell of fear and blood instead of the sickly smell of nectar. As he walked by people looked at him in wonder or fear depending on who he passed; young children ran up to him and pointed in awe while veterans shot one glance at him and nearly fainted, but he didn't blame them for that. He stood at seven feet tall with long black hair and battle scars all over his body and arms, he wore his hair in a ponytail and had an eye patch over his left eye, his outfit consisted of a long white overcoat and a black undershirt with black trousers. A long katana hung from his hip and overall he had an aura around him that terrified people. As he walked towards the village, the air around him changed; even though the sun was at it's apex, the air was cold and the smell of the flowers was drowned out by a familiar scent that brought back memories. As he approached the village, he noticed the smoke rising darkly as if someone was burning wet hay. When he came to the village he saw corpses scattered all over the streets while buildings smoldered and the injured cried out from pain. He walked slowly through the village examining everything until he came upon three men in the village square who were whipping someone. "You stupid b***h! what the hell were you thinking raising your sword against us?" The man raised his whip and brought it down or attempted to, "What the hell?..." he turned around and found Kamatchi holding the tip of the whip in his hand. "Hey what the hell do you think you're doing?" he asked them in a low voice letting the whip go. "We're teaching this runt a little lesson." he said pointing towards the post where a young girl was chained, her shirt ripped completely off and her back was covered in bloody welts. Kamatchi ran his eyes over her back and then turned to the men slowly drawing his sword. "If you idiots have nothing better to do than to pick on a defenseless girl, how about you fight someone your own size?" The bandits drew their weapons and started circling the lone swordsman, trying to gauge his skill. Kamatchi didn't bother turning in circle because he knew that he would get dizzy and he would rather be stable and attacked from behind than to lose the slight advantage he had. The first man rushed Kamatchi, his dagger raised to strike and fell back as Kamatchi's palm caught him in the face crushing his nose and breaking all the teeth in his jaw. As the man fell to the ground he rushed one of the other two and cleaved through the man and his sword cutting both in half. The third man looked at his fallen companions and turned tail and ran making it as far as the entrance to the square before a large orb of fire caught him and engulfed him in flames leaving behind nothing but ashes in a matter of seconds. Kamatchi walked to the girl and undid the chains binding her wrists. "Don't worry their all dead." he told her stepping back but not too much just in case she fell, so he could still catch her. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Kamacthi turned around and came face to face with a burly unshaven man carrying a greataxe in one hand and a mace in the other. "why does it concern you?" he asked the man calmly, letting some slack appear in the hand holding the sword. The man saw the sword go loose and lunged forward bringing his axe down with a triumphant smile, only to have the blade blocked by Kamatchi's sword. "You really didn't think that I was that stupid not to notice that you were the leader of those three did you?, I mean you smell exactly like them and the way you act shows that you are lead them more by fear than respect." The leader staggered back and Kamatchi rushed forward and brought his sword down with all his strength and cleaved the axe in two from the blade downwards until the blade even the hand was a bloody mess. The leader dropped the axe and tried to tangle Kamatchi's sword with his mace but as soon as the chain touched the blade the metal links melted as if they had touched molten magma. "Don't try anything like that since my Akumakyo was enchanted to cut through any basic metal." he explained to the now cowering leader as he slowly walked towards him dragging the tip of his sword on the ground. "You see your biggest mistake was being in this town when i arrived and then attacking me was even worse." he told the cowering leader in a cold voice. The bandits flanking the leader looked at each other than ran away at full speed out of the village, leaving the man on the ground holding the remains of his left hand. "Ple..Pleas...Please don't kill me, I can give you anything you want, please just let me live." he attempted to get on his knees but Kamatchi's boot caught in the face with full force breaking his teeth and shattering his jaw. "You have nothing that I care for and even if you did, after what I have seen the only thing good for you is death." Kamatchi's sword flashed through the air and the bandit fell to the ground dead, his torso completely cut in half. As he looked around at the carnage, the girl slowly came up to him and without a word wrapped her arms around him and held on tight until the villagers that fled returned. " We thank you kind sir for saving our village "the village elder told him in while holding on to his and child. "But you should have at least let the bandits kill this witch, for she is the one that has brought these problems onto us." Behind him the other villagers nodded in agreement and some of them even began whispering that she should be killed so their vilaage wouldn't be threatened anymore. As they were saying that the girl held onto Kamatachi's coat and he could feel her tremble and in that moment he knew that if she stayed here than she would end up dead before night fall. "So brave warrior will you give her to us and let us deal with her as we see fit or will you make an enemy of the entire village?" the Elder tried to sound threatening but that only resulted in the half-dragon bursting into laughter. "I don't fear a bunch of cowards like you "he explained to them " this "witch" of yours has more courage in her than this entire village, when you ran for the hills like frightened rabbits, she stayed behind and attempted to hold off those bandits on her own. And how do you thank her? you come and demand to kill her? if none of you can show any gratitude then from my point of view you all should have died. Oh and I'm taking the girl with me and if you have problems with it I would be glad to fight you." with that he turned and walked away, the young girl following him and not even looking back. "Oh and if anyone thinks of ambushing us I have to warn you that most likely you'll end up dead." he told them in a cold voice.

The only flaws I can see at this point are relatively fundamental; grammar, puctuation, spelling. The story itself is quite good.
