Far away in the distan galaxy of Arberious, the mighty Clevlon Empire was thriving. Hundreds of thousands of its citizens enjoyed peace, happyness, and, thanks to huge advances in technology, longer lives. For thousands of years, the Clevlon Empire was considered to be paradise for any and all walks of life.
That was until that day when a small accident turned the Arberious Galaxy against each other...
On February 27th, 4562, a small cargo freighter named Merchant's Song was caught in the strong gravitational pull of a black hole and sucked in, never to be heard from again. News of the freighter's demise sent ripples of confusion and fear within the entire Clevlon Empire because of the fact that the engine drives on that ship were designed to withstand the pull of a black hole. It soon became clear to everyone that this new hole was more than what it seemed...
Deciding that this new black hole was worth investigating, the Clevlon Navy sent several of their best ships to run a full scan of the anomaly. The ships then left the Clevlon's fortress planet of Geth, not knowing that this mission would be their last. A few days after the ships left, the Clevlon High Council recieved a transmission from the fleet:
Navy Captain: "Geth Command, this is the Argus. We have reached the target zone, over."
Geth Command: "Geth Command reads you, Argus. Proceed with the scan, over."
Navy Captain: "Roger that, Geth Command. Initiating scan."
{Several moments of silence}
Navy Captain: "Full scan complete, Geth Command. No unnatural anomalies detected, over."
Geth Command: "Copy that, Argus. Return to base."
Navy Captain: "Uh.....sir? Some...Something's happening with the black hole..."
Geth Command: "Can you clarify, Argus?"
Navy Captain: "N...Not really, sir. It looks like some kind of energy's building up inside."
Geth Command: "Are you certain, Argus?"
Navy Captain: "Yes, sir."
Geth Command: "Whatever it is, it can't be a good thing. Argus, fall back immediately!"
Navy Captain: "The energy's getting stronger, sir. It looks like..."
{Static}
Geth Command: "Argus! Come in, Argus! Argus, do you copy? I repeat, do you copy?"
Two days later, a scout ship was sent to the fleet's last known location, only finding a forest of space debris and plasma dust. The destruction of the fleet shocked the entire Empire. What could have done this to the best ships in the entire fleet? This question brought about the first Clevlon civil war.
For years, the Clevlon armies fought a bitter war against the Black Brotherhood, a sect that believed that the black hole was a sign from some higher being. However, as the two sides fought each other, it was unknown to them that the black hole was more than just a religious symbol, more than anything that they could have imagined...
