Chapter 1:
First Awakening
The humming of machines filled the air, followed by the blubing of bubbles every few seconds. A greenish glow filled the room as several scientists scurried about. A teenaged girl floated on a giant glass tube as her long brunette hair moved around her pale body, surrounded by liquid her source of air as the mask that was over her mouth. Her eyes moved from under her closed lids, hearing everything going on around her. She heard them talking about something, it sounded powerful, an artifact or something of the sort. Her fingers twitched, she opened her eyes slightly; revealing their grey color for the first time. She looked around her, not moving her head. Nobody seemed to notice that she was awake. A dark haired man wearing a dark blue hakama over a white kimono entered the room, a man with red shoulder length hair and dressed in a dark robe-like outfit, a white print of an Asian dragon on the four flaps that flowed from his brown belt walked beside him.
The dark haired man looked at her, then at a near fifty year old man. “Everything is going according to plan, Master Shredder.” The elderly man said shakily, adjusting his half moon spectacles. “S-she should be ready to begin her training regimen. Though, I don’t really see the point since she’s basically been taught everything while she’s in there.”
The Shedder glared at the man. “Do not question me!”
The man hid behind his clipboard. “Y-yes sir.”
Shredder just walked out of the room, Khan, the man who was beside him, followed.
Hours passed and soon the laboratory was practically empty, the old man was asleep at his desk. The girl moved, kicking her legs. She moved so much in the next minutes that her breathing mask fell off. She panicked and kicked around, breaking the glass that contained her. The fluid sprinted onto the floor below, taking her and many shards of glass with her. She coughed as she shakily got up, her knees and hands bleeding. She stumbled, not used to using her legs. The old man woke up and jumped in his seat when he saw the being that he and the team had created was awake and free from her liquid-filled prison. The man was frozen in place, his jaw hanging open. The girl ran from the room, not sure what to do. The man scrambled and reached under his desk, pressing a small red button. The girl ran though the labyrinth of hallways and doors, the sound of many feet running through the building. Ducking into a doorway, she found herself in a storage room. She looked around franticly and found a Foot uniform, a tunic, sash and leggings. She didn’t know what it was for but she figured she should put it on. They were over sized on her, the sash holding both the tunic on and the leggings up. She poked her head outside the door and began sprinting down the hall, her bare feet lightly hitting the tile floor and her long auburn hair flowing behind her. She found her way outside, where large entourages of Foot soldiers were waiting for her. They lunged at her. She moved flawlessly, avoiding their swords and fists. She rapidly jabbed them where she saw an opening in their defense. She was like a machine, no move wasted, not tiring at all as seconds turned into minutes.
Overhead four humanoid reptiles were jumping across the rooftops of the metropolis, racing as she ran down the streets. She fought off the Foot cronies as she went. Rain poured over the city, thunder cracking after lightening illuminated the dark sky. The four figures stopped, seeing the fight.
“It looks like she needs help.” Michelangelo said.
Leonardo nodded, wondering why the Foot was after the girl. He jumped down the fire escape, his brothers following; Raphael doing so with a grunt. They left the alleyway and stood on the sidewalk, the girl and the Foot coming at them. The girl fell to the ground, tripping on a trash bag. The turtles rushed in. Raphael’s sai clanged against their swords. Donatello’s bo staff deflected them. Mikey jumped around, kicking them down and striking them down with his nunchakus. Leonardo fought effortlessly and soon the Foot retreated, leaving the girl. “Are you alright?” Leo asked, looking over his shell at her. The girl sprang up and jabbed him rapidly, kicked Don in the chest, pushing off to flip over and land behind Michelangelo where she kicked him behind the knees; he fell to the ground. Raphael charged at the dark hair girl, her icy grey eyes catching his brown ones from behind his red mask as she rushed forward, swooping in close to his face. Raph froze; she jumped and stepped on his face. He spun around, but the girl was gone, disappearing into the night.
The girl kept running, not knowing where she was or where she was going.
