• "Raylen, ummmmmmmmmmm, yuo are needed downstairs" Gosh, why can't Sharlene get it right? I carefully walked down the attic stairs from my room. i stopped in front of my stepsister Sharlene. "My name is Rayne, so get it straight" I hissed. I glared at her. She shrugged it off. "rayne," She emphatized my name, rolling her eyes. "the police need to speak to you." I'm pretty sure my eyes widened. "T-the p-p-p-police?" She roled her eyes again. Her voice was thick with sarcasm. "Yup. They wanted to invite you to their doughnut party." I scowled. She was making fun of my weight again. I was 14 and already 145 ibs. I ignored it. 'What do they want?" She rolled her eyes yet again. "Melissa said you planted a bomb in her store." I hesitated. "Why?" She sighed. 'Tired of rolling your eyes?" I broke in. She glared at me. "Okay sorry" She sighed again. Said "Just go outside" I marched out the front door, nearly bumping into deputy Nin. 'Raylen..." I blinked. "I go by Rayn now" He grunted and tried again. "Raylen, Melissa Haycraft says she saw you plant a bomb in her conveiniant store, Highway 8." Usually, at this point I would be all but deputy you know I would never plant a bomb anywhere!. ButI knew this wasn't deputy Singer. And I knew that Deputy Nin wouldn't take my crap, So I got right to the point. "I did not plant a bomb in Haycrafts store. I would never go inside that store, much less be seen around it, because Melissa is a witch." he looked surprised. Then he squinted at me. "Melissa is my daughter, did you know that?" I nodded. "I know that, you know that. Timbuktu knows that!" He rolled his eyes. "Raylen, you have been charged with trying to disrupt a store and the murder of ten people." I looked up. "M-murder?" He nodded. "Melissa told me about your Snake Gang and their shootout." I looked dumbfounded, I'm pretty sure. "I w-would NEVER be in the same g-gang as M-melissa!" His eyes widened. "Mels in a.....nevermind." He shook his head. "Just report to the station 7:30 on Saturday" I nodded, looked at my watch and said "I'm going to be late for school"
