Alone... Always alone... Young Jamie knew the other children didn't like him. They were all the same and Jamie was the only one who stood out. He always said the weirdest things and wore the strangest clothes. At least thats what the other kids thought. Jamie thought of himself as normal, but like most discoverers of the unknown Jamie was un recognized for his great talent, which was as it happened, to see things. No, not like that you smarty. Jamie could see the essence of things. Meaning he could see there true form. When Jamie looked at trees he saw wrinkled old people looking back at him smiling. When he looked at dogs, Armored Gaurds stared back. When he looked in the mirror, Jamie saw a hollow boy, made of wood. Such as this, was the disposition of Jamie LeFey.
"Mr. LeFey, Do you have a problem?" A sharp nosed lady was standing in front of my desk. What was the old bird blabbing about now? "No, Ms. Meck I don't believe I'm the one with the problem." Behind me, my only friend Trevor started to snigger. Ms. Meck drew herself up to her full hight(a surprising 5 feet...) and gave me a stern glare. I glared right back, obviously bored with this. "Well in that case you-" I cut her off " Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. I can take myself a short walk to the principals office." I got up slowly and started to walk to the door. Then I turned around and said "Don't have anything better to do than harrass me? Like eating some birdseed or something?" Hahaha, laughs all around. The bird's eyes grew wide and in my eyes she looked like a heron getting ready to spear its prey. Gulp.
5 minutes later I was racing down the street, grinning like an idiot and oblivious to everything around me. The principal hadn't had time to see me so they just told me to go home. Oh yeah, I was DEFINTELY gonna go there. I came up to the end of the street I was on. A dense row of hedges now barred my path, I forced my way through them and came out near a small creek. I had found this place a couple years ago and right now it was the only place I could think in peace. Course the elvish music makes it a little hard to concentrate, but hey, am I complaining?
