• The next morning, Kaily woke up to something licking her cheek. She groaned and swatted at it. Suddenly she heard a whining sound, like a puppy. She opened her eyes to see a black lab puppy sitting next to her. She smiled and noticed a red ribbon around it's neck. She sat up and petted the dog. Attachted to the ribbon was a note, She began to read it.

    I miss you SO much, i can't believe you're already 14!!! Wow, i wish
    i could see those beautiful brown eyes of yours. Anyway, since i was unable to make your birthday, here's a gift from me smile i hope you'll enjoy him,

    She unwrapped the ribbon and placed it and the note on her pillow. She looked at the ruffed up puppy and noticed how cute it was. "what should i name you?" she asked the dog smiling. The dog got up on all fours and began wagging his tail. She smiled. "rugsby?" she asked. The dog whined. "naw, not that , how bout .......how booouutt........" she began thinking and looked out the window. "i know" she said smiling at the dog. "how about..... ALEX!?" She said. The dog barked and ran around in circles. Kaily began to laugh. "okay, alex it is then" she said rubbing the top of his head.
