Jack was tired. He was tired of all the lies, tired of the deception, and tired of his life. He looked down at the rippling blue water beneath him and toke a deep breath. He plunged face first into that blue water, praying to never resurface.
Suddenly, Something wrapped around his waist and he was lifted into the fresh air. He turned his head to see what restricted his life from fading, only to see the silhouette of a person pulling him to the vibrant green shore.
They finally hit the land, and Jack was pulled onto his back. Lips pressed to his, breathing life into him. He could feel the air rushing through his lungs. He chocked and sputtered, sitting up slightly, before looking at the damp person smiling down at him. “Who?” he began to ask, when suddenly, arms were thrown around him and he was knocked on his back again.
“Thank heavens you’re alright.” The body said as its face looked up at him.
He smiled down into the beautiful face of his pale lover. “I’m sorry to have worried you, Gabriel.” He leaned down and kissed the quivering lips in front of him. “It’ll never happen again, right?” He asked suddenly looking angered at Gabriel’s watery eyes.
Gabriel suddenly leaped to his feet and looked away. “It’s just a misunderstanding. I never cheated on you or anything. I love you too much.” Tears fell from his eyes as he turned with a sincere look to Jack.
Jack leaped to his feet as well and wrapped his arms around his lover’s slender waist. “Well, what was it then? Why were you on a date with him then?” He snapped, turning the pale boy to face him fully. He glared at the teary eyes waiting for the fateful reply.
“I asked if John would help me pick out a present for you. He toke me to the mall and helped me until we saw you run away. I bought you this.” He pulled a bag up beside him and shoved it into Jack’s hand and turned to run.
Jack opened the bag and gasped before he pulled Gabriel back to him and hugged him deeply. “I’m so sorry. I should have asked before jumping to conclusions, right?” He wrapped the bag around his belt loop and kissed his lover once again. “Forgive me.”
Gabriel smiled and ran his finger up Jack’s arm. “On one condition.”
With a pull of his hair, Jack had Gabriel in his arms and was running down the road.
