tab It was on days like today that she really wished she had a GPS navigation system. She sighed as she looked at the map then back at the road and then back at the map again.
"Where the heck am I?" Annie asked herself as she continued driving, she had taken the wrong exit minutes ago but she still couldn't find herself.
It was dark and foggy and she hadn't seen another car for miles. She considered calling her mother for help with the directions. Why couldn't she find the right direction, hadn't she driven to Maryland several times?
Finally the fog was so dense she could only see nearly a foot in front of her. She creeped along nervously until her lights flickered out. "Oh come on you have to be kidding me!" She cried angrily pounding the steering wheel. She turned on the car light and looked at the map studying the directions she had been taking.
"Ah!" she cried happily and pointed to the road she was at. Suddenly there was a large boom like the sound of thunder, but it came from the direction she had been driving. She peered through the fog but couldn't see anything. She rolled down the window and stuck her head out.
She saw two red lights. Were they tail lights? They were getting closer, more lights appeared, and then more, until their seemed to be hundreds, and they were approaching very fast. Her eyes widened, she didn't know what they were but a feeling of fear spread through her chest.
She ducked back into her car and rolled up the windows, they kept getting closer, she turned the light in her car off and scrambled to get her phone out of her pocket as quickly as she could.
Her fingers fumbled with the numbers as she hurriedly looked up and then down, who was she calling? 911? What would she tell them? There were a bunch of red lights heading towards her. As she pondered fearfully staring at the phone something hit her car... hard.
She screamed and looked back at the phone quickly dialing 911. She held it to her ear and after ringing someone finally answered. "Help!" she screamed as something else hit her card.
"I'm on Croston road!" she screamed. "My lights are out, something's hitting my car, my doors are locked and the windows are closed but--" she screamed again as something else hit her car." Please help there's someone or something out there!" she screamed scared out of her wits.
The operator tried to calm her down but the thuds on her car were getting louder and she couldn't bear to look outside. Something banged on her windshield and she looked up as a blood-curdling scream erupted from her mouth.
There in front of her was the most hideous creature she had ever seen, it was shaped like a man, with hands and fingers and knees and feet and everything, but it had wings like a bat and claws, there was no nose but its teeth were long and jagged and a black liquid drooled from its mouth. Its eyes glowed red, its skin was covered in thin, black hair, or fur, she couldn't tell.
"HELP!" she screamed but she only heard static. "Hello?" she cried. "HELP!" she screamed again as it pounded on her windshield, she heard a crack and began screaming non-stop.
Suddenly the passenger window broke and a hairy hand reached towards her, she backed away from it, but then her own window broke and one of the hands scraped her cheek. She covered her face with her hands as they reached through the window trying to claw at her. She could now hear the outside. Screeches like those of bats screamed outside and fluttering like many wings flying around, she peeked out, eyes were every where.
The car shifted and she screamed again. It was lifted slightly from the ground and dropped, then again and she continued to scream and finally it was pushed off the road and down the hill right next to it.
It rolled for only a second before the top was crushed by a tree. Annie was sure she was going to die.
"HELP ME!" she cried.
She continued to scream and cry as claws continued to scratch at her, or was it glass, she couldn't tell anymore her car was definitely totaled, she was pulled out of the car and dragged by her hair through the leaves and dirt, when they were done dragging her they began to attack again she felt like she was burning all of the sudden, but there was no fire that she could see only blackness and bright red eyes.
Just when she thought she couldn't take anymore a bright light flashed and she saw a heavenly sight, a man, he was dressed in silver and he wore a helmet but she could see his eyes, they were a beautiful blue. He was wearing armor, shining armor, his blade was emitting a bright white light.
Soon he was joined by another warrior but she couldn't take her eyes off of him, and then there were more people they were all beautiful, all had shining armor, but he was the most beautiful. She felt dazed, confused and all she could do was stare, the edges of her vision were fogging up and she was losing touch with reality.
She began to realize that the demons were gone and she had been left alone. She could hear sirens in the distance, the warriors looked at each other and turned around, he was the last one to go. "Wait!" she choked from where she lay in the mud. He turned around, his eyes were full of pain but she didn't know why, he had a smug look on his face when he had first appeared now he seemed sad, his eyes looked at her with sympathy and he shook his head.
Then he was gone, it was dark again and she was scared, cold, wet, tired, and in a lot of pain sleep was all she could think of...sleep... sleep....

It was an exciting piece, yes. You could easily continue, explaining the next actions of the stunned girl, or the story of the man in shining armour, which may have nothing to do with the girl, an almost-casualty of the man's battle against the creature.
You seem to have an issue with run on sentences. You seem to be fighting a losing battle against using them as they appear more frequently in the second half.
