• chapter 4-> take flight my liege



    The next morning I found myself waking up on top of Masuno's chest with him snoring below me. I prodded him till he woke up and when he did he sat up in which caused me to fly across the room and against the wall. "Owwww" I groaned rubbing the back of my head. "Oh my god I'm sorry!" he cried and flew over to me. He took hold of my hand and lifted me upright. "Will you be good enough to fly?" He asked, "Dur" I answered sticking out my tongue. He grabbed my tongue with lightning speed. "heeeeyyyy" I yelped almost mumbling. He let go and grinned then kissed my cheek before scooping me from the floor and soaring from the room out the window. At this point I was sure I was dreaming, or absolutely crazy. We were soaring over the forest swerving through the thicket and weeds. Then with amazing momentum he soared up over the tree tops and flipped a few times. Then we arrived at a perfectly round little field full of sounds and peace. "My god man," I said, "Are you TRYING to kill me?!" "Maybe" He answered snickering. I glowered at him before he laid me on the grass and soared back up. As I gazed up at him I realized he had wings. They were huge angel wings. Then I thought, "retraction??" and I stared up. Suddenly he was zooming down towards me at faster speed then thought possible. Before he hit me he turned grinning wistfully the whole time. "I'm gonna kill you!" I called after him starting to run. Then I felt a light floaty feeling. When I looked down, I was 10 feet in the air! I looked around me, he was carrying me either! I could fly, something I had wished for since I was a little girl. I flashed an evil grin and flicked my wings. "Ah s**t" Masuno cried out when I started soaring at him. I collided with him in midair hugging his torso as we fell to the ground. I laughed till my lungs hurt and I was gasping for air. When I stopped laughing I floated back up and flitted my wings. Instead of angel wings I had intricate monarch butterfly wings that were yellow-orange with gray-black framing.



    We flew around the forest for what seemed like forever laughing and playing and roughhousing. When it was around lunchtime we headed home but instead of leading me to my house, Masuno pulled me to his. My mouth gaped open as I realized how richly proportioned this house was. He owned a mansion. He was rich and he never told me! I heard my wings flitting wildly behind me. Along with my wings I heard Masuno chuckling behind me. "You didn't guess with the TT?" He asked then, "Not really." I answered breathless. He took my hand and started to lead me into the intriguingly decorated house. Then I thought,
    whatever is wanted is granted with glee

    The man gave me wings, my god! He was a Sorcerer! I thought wildly while we entered the huge house. I gasped when I saw the beautifully decorated room. Masuno led me through each room explaining each one when we passed. Then finally we made it to the end of the hall in which he said, "My bedroom" and he opened the door. I stared at the wall of cd's that were all organized by album name. My mouth fell open again and he shut it before walking in behind me. I smiled and turned to him. "Damn, I can't believe how amazing you are" I spoke. He shrugged, "I'm lucky to have you" he said and grinned. I had retracted my wings by this time so as I was floating I kept bumping into things from having no experience. He chuckled again taking my hand and leading me around. After the huge tour of his house he led me back to the living room and he flew to the kitchen. He emerged with 2 sandwiches smiling. I smiled back and we both sat on the couch watching t.v.



    "So does this mean we're boyfriend + girlfriend now?" Masuno asked then, "Guess so" I answered smiling to myself. "Can you hear me? are you far away? you distracted or afraid of what I might say? cause I know your every move? I can see things that you walk right through, and I listen to the pleasant lost on you, and you raise to escape the truth." I started singing to myself. I could see Masuno smiling beside me tapping his fingers to the beat silently. When I finished he commented, "You see? your voice is perfect, like an angel's" I blushed and bowed my head. I then concentrated on my thoughts and I felt a burning in my chest like, the thing a girl gets when she loves a boy, is this what I was feeling? I thought through that while Masuno watched the T.V. quietly. I then shook away the thoughts and stood up from the low couch. Masuno stood up and started following me but I put up my hand. "Stay dude I gotta go to the bathroom" I rolled my eyes and turned to the direction of the bathroom. After emerging from the bathroom I noticed Masuno was gone. I walked around to each room searching carefully. After I finished searching each room I started running and screaming, "MASUNO?! MASUNO THIS ISN'T FUNNY!" Then he emerged from the hall closet grinning. I crumpled on the floor onto my knees with my hands covering my face. My heart was still beating rapidly when Masuno sat beside be and embraced me tightly and whispered in my ear, "It was just a joke, relax." I twisted into his lap again and sniffed wiping my nose on my forearm. "Didn't seem like it," I grumbled in his shirt. He lifted my head with a finger, "I'm sorry, truly I am." he coaxed soothingly. I stared into his eyes warily and he stared back. Then his lips were on mine and my reaction was just as excited as before. I grappled his arms and his were around my waist. I felt him open his mouth and let the cool breath flow into my mouth. He let go then, too soon for my liking. He wiped his mouth, "Dammit Kyoko you'll be the death of me I swear! Do you know how easily I could kill you?" He tucked a wave of my brunette hair behind my ear and kissed my forehead before lifting me up to my feet. "Now, lets calm down and take you home shall we?" He suggested. "Fine" I answered grudgingly with my arms crossed.




    chapter 5-> Dante




    As I approached the dark house I felt a shiver run down my spine in a nervous shock. I found the spare key and opened the door stumbling to find the light-switch. Masuno had already drove away so I was all alone. At least that's what I thought. As I walked into the living room I noticed a tall figure, slightly taller then Masuno and the same dark slicked hair in the arm-chair reading my book Wuthering Heights. But when the figure raised it's head towards me I realized it had dark purple eyes with no bags under his eyes and light skin. My entire body froze, my throat building a scream. The boy then swooped over to me grabbing my arms. He smiled with a glint of anticipation in his eye. My eyes grew wide in amazement when I noticed how beautiful this man was. He looked exactly like Masuno except for the eyes and light skin. I stared in wonder into his eyes. "Hello" He finally spoke. I choked out the words, "Uhm, hi." "What is your name?" he questioned, "Kyoko" I answered. "hmm.. pretty name, I'm Dante" He replied letting go of my arms smiling the same smile as Masuno's. "I know your thinking of your little friend Masuno." He spoke tapping his temple. "I take it your gifted too?" I asked warily. "I am Masuno in a darker form." he replied then. I gaped then blubbered out, "huh?!" He chuckled, "I am Masuno in a demon form I have his powers, hair, charm, but I can read minds and seduce women more easily." I fell to the floor in deep thought. I looked him up and down, he was wearing an average t-shirt and shredded jeans. "So, your not evil?" I asked then. "Oh my, dear child no!" he called out. "sucker love" I mumbled to myself. "Quite, I've been watching you for the past 2 weeks or so. I'm the one who told Masuno of your being here," he commented then. "I was going to come to you instead but Masuno stole you away from me." "Wait, wait, so what your saying is that you wanted to meet me?" I asked then befuddled, "Yes, I have been very interested in getting to know you, you seem like a beautiful and witty young woman." I blinked a few times, thinking about his words. Twins? Both in love with me? Impossible!



    After talking for a lllooooonnnnngggg time with Dante I decided I needed some rest, needing the unconscious sanctuary. Dante bid good-bye and left and I climbed the stairs. The next morning when I woke up I awoke to the faces of Dante and Masuno arguing in the corner in whispers. I thought, "Calling all, cause we got another victim, cause my love has become an affliction what did you expect from me? what did you expect from me?" Dante turned towards me staring into my eyes. "Very true musical thoughts dear." I smacked myself on the forehead forgetting he could read my thoughts. I stood up and stretched then grabbed an outfit. I went to the bathroom to go change. When I tip-toed back into my bedroom the were still quarreling with each other in louder tones. I put my hands on each of their mouth shutting them up. "1. how the hell did you two get in?" I asked. "Window," they both replied at the same time. "2. why the hell are you BOTH here?" I prodded. "you" they replied again at identical times. I slumped over to my bed then and let them fight. Soon they both unfolded their wings and flew from the window. I unfolded my wings and flew out behind them. With an uneasy feeling pitting in my stomach. Then they grabbed each other swerving in and out of the trees slamming each other to the ground. I wanted to scream bloody murder at them to stop but had no courage to do it.




    After about 5 minutes of fighting I finally gave up on my conscience and screamed, "GET THE HELL OVER IT YOU TWO AND STOP THE DAMNED FIGHTING!" They both froze in the air staring at me wide eyed. My hands were clenching and un-clenching in growing anger with myself. I was arguing within if to slap myself and be thrown to the ground or fly home crying. I chose option one. I decided that dying would solve this, that neither needed me THAT much. So I flicked a hand up to one of my wings and did the worst thing you can to a butterfly, I touched my wing barehanded. I heard both of them screaming "NO! NNOOOO!" as I started falling to the thick trees below. I felt the thick and thin branches scratching and bruising me. Then finally, impact. I slammed to the ground before either of the twins could grab me and I felt the darkness calling me in....





    I woke up in a room in the twins home with my wings retracted and the twins hovering above me nervously. I sat up feeling perfectly fine. "You see the potion worked!" Dante spoke. I stood up and shoved past both them and I extended my wings and flew from the house out the window. I heard them following me so I pushed myself to go faster then i thought possible of myself and I flew to the field Masuno had taken me to a few days ago. I retracted my wings and landed on the soft ground using my powers to block my thoughts from Dante. I thought of my happenings, the good, the bad, the worthless, the amazing, the scary, everything. I let the torture have me. I sobbed, and sobbed, I cried till my eyes dried up and I could barely see. After the few hours of crying I flew home and went to bed, only to have nightmares through the thorough night....
