• Let me tell you my story, my name is John Peacecraft and I am in the Amarr Empire Navy. I am no ordinary solder; I am the last line of defense against total chaos. Twenty years ago, war broke out and with it a special corps was formed. I was trained alongside 11 others; my brothers and sisters all sworn to protect everyone. To protect the identity of these people, I have changed the names and dates in this account.

    Genesis

This first part of my story takes place before the war started. I was very young, so I don’t remember what happened. I gathered information of these events from fist hand accounts, computer records, and logs of people who were also there.
The date was December 3rd 134 After Colonization. The ship was the A.E.N. Freedom, and was patrolling the Wild Space looking for pirates. They had been out there for three months and what they found was more than they could handle
    .
“Captain to the bridge!” the navigation officer yelled, as she took her station. She looked over to the tactical officer looking for reassurance. From the look of fear on his face, she wondered what expression was on her own. The ship shuddered as the first salvo of plasma bolts drained the shields, pounding into the hull and damaging critical systems. The captain barely caught her footing as she nearly fell out of the lift.
“What happened?” demanded the captain, walking over to her chair and dusting off the debris with a brush of her hand. Barely had she sat down before the ship groaned and shuddered violently, another salvo making contact with the hull.
“Ten hostile ships inbound!” yelled the tactical officer over the screaming sirens and alarms.
“Helm, get us out of here NOW!” ordered the captain, bracing herself.
“Where to sir?” asked the nav officer, barely rolling them over the lead ship. Then maneuvering to counter attack unleashing all the firepower they could muster. The reddish plasma streaks across the space and ponds into its target. The lead ship busted into flames as the plasma melts into its power core.
“Anywhere but here is good” Yelled the captain, her face turning red at the thought of having to run.
“Aye sir” said the nav officer as her hand flew over her console as she pushed jump data into the computer.
The ship rolled to one side and headed out of the battle field. And then fired up its slipstream drive with what little power it had left. The space round them distorted into a bluish spiral as the drive pushed the ship out of normal space into the slipstream corridor.
Control panels exploded all round the bridge. Space distorted around them and everyone was thrown round. A sudden jolt and they entered the corridor.
“Can anyone tell me what just happen?” inquired the captain
“Damn” the chief engineer cursed, slamming his hand against his control panel. “Just as I thought that last jump drained all of our reserve power and so we didn’t have the structural integrity field up. And that’s why everything was distorted.”
“That answered my first question, but can anyone tell me why ships attacked us?” the captain asked “and where are we headed?”
“I don’t have a clue about the ‘why’ but ‘where’ is the Raccoon sector if our luck holds out that is.” stated the nav officer
An hour later the ship, or what was left of it, emerged into normal space. The ship crawled its way in system to Farpoint Station, the engines lost power and shuts down. The captain collapse in her chair, she runs her hands though her long brown hair. Then she stood up and walked over to the commutation station and hit the button for general quarters.
“Listen up everyone this is the captain, we just lost our engines so we are now drifting in space. I just wanted to ask everyone to pray that God will give the engineers the wisdom to fix it. Thank you.”
Three hours passed as the ship slowly drifted to Farpoint station; the station’s tractor beam pulled the ship safely into one of the docking bays. The dock supervisor walked up to the captain and asked what happen. The captain quickly brought him up to speed and he granted them full access to the station. The crew exited the ship and made their way to the rooms that had been prepared for them, but not before they had to stop by the infirmary to get check over to make sure that everyone was healthy.

I got this next part form the captain only. I tried to get Admiral Russo’s account but, he lost his life shortly after the war started.
Captain Sisko walked into the main living area and walked over to the computer on the table. She sat on the couch and activated the computer and opened an encrypted channel to Admiral Russo aboard the Dauntless. A few seconds later the Admiral’s bearded face filled the screen. She quickly brought him up to speed.
“Are you sure that they weren’t pirates” asked Russo
“They were well armed. I haven’t seen pirates with this much fire power before, and they were organized.”
“But you did manage to destroy one of their ships didn’t you?”
“That was only because it was a light cruiser. They still had a capital ship, two heavy frigates, four light frigates and two more light cruisers. That’s a fleet, not a bunch of pirates making a raid!” said Sisko as her face reddened with anger at the thought of the crew members that had died.
“Can you tell where the ships came from?”
“The ships had all the markings of the Minmatar Republic.”
Let me tell what the Minmatar Republic is and what the Amarr Empire is. The Minmatar Republic is a race of humanoids that claim that the Amarr Empire enslaved them and forced them to do jobs no one else would do. But the only reason they did those jobs are because they are tough and the only ones who could have done them. As for us, the Amarr Empire, we are a very religious is the term that most people will say about us, but we believe in the one true God.
“Why would the Minmatar Republic attack an Amarr Empire Navy Ship? It makes no sense. I will look in to it, Admiral Russo out.”
The screen went black and Sisko sighed. She rested her head on the back of the couch, rubbing the palm of her hands over her eyes trying to get the images of the day out of her mind. After a few minutes she got up and went and took a hot shower. After the shower she went to the bedroom and tried to sleep for a couple of hours.

The cantina was unusually vacant as Jenkins walked in; she headed up to the bar and sat down. The bartender walked over to her and asked her what she wanted to drink. She ordered the strongest drink they had. The bartender turned around and pulled out a bottle that he had hidden under the counter. He poured her a glass and slid it across the bar.
‘I thought Amarr Empire Officers didn’t drink.” Said the Bartender
“Most don’t but if they had the type of day I had, they would.”
    “That bad”
    “Listen Mr. …”
    “Tomas the name is Tomas”
“Well Tomas about half of my crew is dead”
    “What happened?”
    “I wish I knew.”
She finished her drink. She stood up and passed him some credits.
“It’s on the house” said Tomas

Sisko awoke to the buzzer on the door ringing. She rolled to one side of the bed and threw her legs over the side. She slowly staggered to the door and hit the release button on the wall. The door slid open to reveal Jenkins standing in the door with tears in her eyes. Her hands were griped tightly round a pad.
    “What’s wrong Lt.” asked Sisko
“I was just going over the casualties list and…” she started to sob up.
    “Please come in and sit”
“I, I can’t believe it we lost over half the crew” she managed to say between the tears “We lost the Peacecrafts”
“What! Oh no” exclaimed Sisko, she couldn’t believe what she was hearing “What about their son, did he make it?”
    “Yes...”
“That’s good…they were so young” she sighed “so what’s going to happen to the boy?”
“He has no living relatives and since I was good friends with his parents, I am going to take him to my aunts.”
