The battle raged on the plains of Narathu, humans fighting demons, the sounds of swords and guns filled the air, the only sounds drowning out the fierce gunfire and swords clanging that were the soundtrack to this scene were the screams of humans and demons alike falling to their opponents.
The humans had classified the demons under three names: Devils were the strongest and most intelligent even managing a will of their own, next in the pecking order were Frails, despite their names these behemoths could rival a Devil in power but they lacked even the slightest of cognitive activity, and finally came the Demons, also what any combination of the three were called, these were the weakest and least intelligent, though still much stronger then the average human their only tactic was a forward charge in order to rip their opponents to shreds. As the commanders of the Narathian Military watched the demon advance they knew that this force was mainly Frails and demons, the likelihood of Devils approaching was low. A voice rose above the crowd “Commander Kluth! Blade has finally shown himself!”
The Commander in Chief turned his head, his long purple hair swayed behind as he looked around. A Frail roared in fury and charged at the man who had revealed its master. The Frail caught the man in its arms and ripped him apart roaring all the time. The beast then turned its head toward Kluth, it charged again this time not taking the time to kill the other humans in its way, the spared were simply sent flying. Kluth looked down at it from his position on a hill he grabbed his halberd and started counting down in his head from five. When the Commander reached zero he thrust his halberd upward and watched as the weapon pierced through the back of the Frail’s mouth. Blood splattered the grass on the hill. Kluth pulled his weapon out of the beast’s maw and shook the blood off. The Frail fell to its knees then flopped forward, it would never harm another human again.
Kluth looked around again and locked eyes with an apparent Devil, but even for a Devil this one stood out in the crowd, it wore a silk cape and armor made of high quality metal. The smirk on this one’s face as it laid eyes on Kluth filled the Commander with certainty “Blade,” he said out loud, the leader of the Demon Army had finally revealed himself.
One of Kluth’s generals stepped forward, she looked her Commander square in the eye “Kluth this is my battle,” she insisted.
Kluth smiled and turned to face his wife “I’m aware of that Leksey,” he said calmly “But one of us must survive this to take care of Yenek, he won’t miss me anywhere near as much as he will miss you,” he said with a smile.
Leksey shook with rage but took a deep breath and relaxed herself. “Fine give me your sword,” she said to Kluth.
As soon as Kluth handed her his sword she unsheathed her own along with his and charged forward “Blade!” she yelled.
Kluth was quick to react; he held a hand out to Leksey and the ground rose around her feet and formed into boots of stone around them. Kluth took a few steps forward and smiled at his wife as she struggled against her bindings, he quickly glanced over to Blade to see the Devil had reached for his sword before Leksey was stopped now he was watching the pair transfixed, his head tilted to the side and his eyes showing intrest. Kluth then looked back to Leksey, he pressed his lips to hers then smiled “Goodbye my dear, I’ll see you when I get home.” he said and then spread his arms wide. The shadow of every warrior of the Narathian Army excluding Kluth himself jumped off the ground and consumed its owner taking them away from the battlefield, but more importantly away from Blade.
Blade watched this, rather confused he looked to his subordinates, the only other Devils on the battlefield “Seems the fool wants to take me on alone, go test his strength for me,” he ordered them and the two obeyed charging forward at insane speeds. Kluth again began to count down in his head this time starting at three. When Kluth reached zero he ducked down and swung his halberd upward towards the first Devil to reach him. The blade of the weapon cut through the Devil’s throat easily, Kluth continued his spin altering his speed somewhat and as he came around the second time he lunged forward and stabbed the Halberd through the second Devil’s chest.
Blade shrugged “Well now you’re not the run of the mill human,” he said blankly and pointed to Kluth “But can this man take on an army?” he asked his forces “Attack!” he commanded.
Hundreds of Demons and Frails attacked at once. Kluth vanished; suddenly there were explosions of fire, blasts of wind, and torrents of water tearing through the area, all while the screams of demons and Frails filled the air. Kluth reappeared in the middle of the slaughter, completely untouched, the army lay fallen before him “Ready to fight me yet Blade?” he asked.
Blade stepped forward and drew his sword “This is fun, all seven of the great Elemental Sages in one body, so now you have control of all seven Elements.” he said amused.
Kluth gripped his halberd and smiled “So you’ve figured me out then?”
Blade sneered “Of course I have you dim witted fool, ”
Kluth’s childish reply came “At least I don’t speak in redundancy,” and with that the Sevenfold Elemental Sage charged forward. Kluth lunged forward in an attempt to impale Blade, but the devil jumped into the air and spread his wings ascending with ease.
Kluth frowned but slashed his weapon downward creating a tail wind that knocked the devil off balance. As Blade fell Kluth opened up a fissure in the ground, but Blade adjusted for the wind and soared into the air again.
Blade soared ever higher then dove at insane speeds, Kluth couldn’t follow his movement, the Elemental wasn’t even aware Blade had moved until the devil was in front of him and punching him in the face.
Kluth flew backward and skided across the ground, he stood and wiped the blood from his jaw “Mean hook you got there Blade,” he said blankly.
Blade smirked “Try this on for size,” he hissed and fired a blast of demonic energy at Kluth.
Kluth saw the blast coming but there was nothing he could do, he wasn’t quick enough to dodge and he knew it. The Elemental held his halberd forward and tried to block the attack, it exploded in his face, again Kluth was thrown backward, again he bounced along for yards.
Blade landed on the ground and walked towards Kluth, his movements didn’t suggest he was approaching something threatening, he moved more like he was about to kill a rather irritating insect “That was short,” the devil said to himself. Blade continued toward Kluth and noticed the man was still moving “Oh still clinging to life,” the devil said with a smirk.
Kluth stood gingerly, he could feel he had broken a few ribs in that last fall, he winced as he stood up straight. “I can still fight,” he told Blade and stomped the ground. A large tablet rose from the ground, both it and Kluth began to glow.
Blade looked at the tablet confused “What are you doing?” the devil demanded.
“Ending this, “ Kluth replied.
Kluth smiled and charged forward glowing with ever more brilliance, by the time he reached Blade the glow was blinding, he fired off a punch and connected with the devil’s face. As soon as the punch landed Kluth exploded in one last attack.
The explosion ripped through the plains, ripped out of Kluth‘s body, and consumed the body of Blade. When the dust cleared all that was left was the tablet and a new desert for the Narathian continent.

- I usually am not very in to war stories and such but this was good. Your descriptive words were impressive and the whole thing seemed to flow and come together. The name "The End" strikes a little odd at first but I can see where you got it from. 5/5
