Hitari's laughter echoed off the cold stone walls, this was amazing. He had summoned demons and ghosts before, well...minor demons anyways. But a shade he had never attempted, it was amazing.
"Your will, master?" The shades voice was raspy, like sandpaper running over wood.
Hitari smiled and raising one hand, he incanted the spell and dismissed the shade. It was time to summon something a bit mmore sophisticated.

He began the incantation. Feeling the typical rush, the warm flow that started at the back of his head and flooded through the rest of his body, that accompanied the magic he cast. It started out like this, completely normal, then he went completely cold, the icyness of this new feeling flooding through his body as the gate opened.
Fear rushed through his body as a man like creature stepped through the gate, with a scythe as deadly and fearsome looking as the master that weilds it.
"W-w-who are you" Hitari stammered, too terrified of this creature, so different from the creature he had tried to summon.
"Who am I?" The Man repeated,"I am Ariyu, the black death. Pitiful human, you should not dabble in magic you can neither control nor understand."
The last thing Hitari saw was the man's fearsome face as it lunged towards him, swinging the scythe in the deadly arc that swept his head from its shoulders.

- Great idea, but you have to watch parallel structure, in that if you use the past tense, you have to remain in that tense for the rest of the sentence. Keep at it, and watch where you place your commas. It can distract the readers on sentence structure which takes away from the story.
