- Description: At the St. Xavier Cabrini Shrine in Colorado. St. Xavier Cabrini, called Mother Cabrini, ran an orphanage literally on top of a mountain here in the late 1800's. This was the orphanage complex, made out of rock collected from the surrounding hillside. She struck a miraculous spring to provide water for the orphans, who had to hike up and down the mountain in order to reach a water source.
