Description:
This here is a Shih-tzu, which means Lion Dog in Chinese. I did this in Painting II in college in 2010. This painting help decided what I wanted to focus on as far as subject matter in painting: animal portraiture. My professor highly encouraged me to use colors not found on the animal. I used acrylic paint as far as medium goes. The Shih-tzu is I believe, the National dog of China and in ancient times was only owned by the royal family.
