Thanks for the advice~ When I drew this, I got confused by the different types of handguns and I had drawn the hand already, also I draw freehand, I don't use rulers. As for the hand, well, I have the little water guns and I held it then took a picture. Also, I didn't copy this from an image, I just remember one of my friends posing like that

For proportions I would suggest either drawing from a live model (and no, they don’t have to be nude) or from reference images. I don’t mean tracing, but rather using that to get the feel of how the body is lined up. An important thing to note: manga/comic artists first learn to draw from life, then use their skills to manipulate it. If you merely draw from anime then you are just mimicking a symbol rather than manipulating the actual. I hope that made sense. Keep at it. Best of luck. [3of3]

The gun does not look believable as a weapon. The shape references a gun but doesn’t have the credibility behind it (I hope you understand what I mean by this). I like the raw image being black and white, a more graphic feel- this is my own personal preference (much like my own aesthetic). And I am glad you did not shy away from drawing the character’s hand. Many artists that start out will usually try to hide that feature (usually feet and hands tend to be cut off). [2of3]

I happened upon your image and am merely giving my two cents. Please do not take this as an attack or something of that nature. I am offering you some honest feedback. ^_^
Well for starters, your proportions aren’t bad. There is some work that you need to do in that area, but what I will start with is the weapon. I realise it is a doodle; with that said, you should practice more on drawing from reference images - use the internet to see images of how guns look. [1of3]
