- The artist seems to be relying too much on filters, brushes and other such effects. The shapes of their faces are made by straight lines, along with the way the shading is done, make the characters look very flat. Easy to do when one hasn't learned many digital techniques. To the artist, whoever he is, keep in mind to push yourself to develop your drawing skills all the time, so that the linework and characters begin to speak more than the colors and effects that are covering th
