I feel like there isn't enough contrast in this piece. You have your dark values and gray scale...but I would take out more highlights, especially around the head and hands in order to define them better.
Maybe you could redo it as a midtone piece? It's usually much easier to get in the highlights with that by taking them out with a kneaded eraser... - Report As Spam

- I don't care for the way you did the hands.. Is he clutching his head? But, you did a nice job on the shading and charcoal is not an easy media to work with. Keep practicing.
