- A-TypicalPityParade: I used a #2 pencil to do the entire thing. This picture was done years ago, before I had any real concept (or patience) to add such detail.

The drawing is textureless, please keep in mind that fur cannot be treated the same as skin when it comes to coloring.
Each and every tuft must be individually accentuated.
My suggestion for this, is drop the HB pencil, pick up an H or F gauge and hatch LIGHTLY.
