Ono no Komachi was a famous waka poet in the Heian period in Japan. She was noted as a rare beauty.
I was trying to sketch this drawing of her by Kikuchi Yosai. I ended up drawing her totally different from it. Well this is the out come. Sorry about how crappy it is, I don't have a scanner or camera. My webcam fails... - Date: 12/27/2008
